Cleaning for a Reason

Fighting cancer is difficult enough, living with it is even tougher…that’s where the Cleaning For A Reason Foundation steps in.  Cleaning For A Reason is the only national non-profit in the country providing FREE, professional housecleaning services for women undergoing cancer treatment. The Foundation, organized as a Texas Non-Profit Corporation, is raising money to provide more help for more women everywhere.

If you know of a woman currently undergoing chemotherapy for cancer, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning – once per month for 4 months while she is in treatment.  All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment.  Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating professional bonded  maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service.  This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these women.  It’s our job to pass the word and let them know that there are people out there that care.  Be a blessing to a woman undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer and pass this information along.

(Now let’s just hope they use non toxic cleaning supplies as recommended by the Environmental Working Group!!)    The application process opens at 12noon Central Time Monday through Friday and they accept a maximum of 50 applications each day.  To get help go to their website and click on  the CANCER PATIENTS tab.

Donations of funds and services are needed by this non-profit to enable them to serve more women. You can donate via Paypal right on their site.

What a good cause! It’s very inspiring to see people helping those who are in need, especially those people who are fighting against cancer. A simple task of house cleaning is definitely a big help that will definitely last a long way.
